The chapel you see in Rowen (near Conwy) today was not the first to occupy this picturesque setting. The earliest chapel was completed in 1819; it was rebuilt in 1841 and is now a Grade II-listed structure. Its simple but elegant round-headed windows and gabled porch entrance are the key features of its unfussy design. The Baptist chapel has had a number of uses over the years, including the meeting place for the local Women’s Institute.
